The Applause Machine.
Airedale Springs has recently been involved in the development of a novel applause machine working with Martin Smith, a creative designer for a company called Laikingland. a. The manufacturer of products,whose intention is to design and manufacture beautifully crafted kinetic objects that engage, and evoke a sense of play and nostalgia.
Laikingland said "Laikingland worked closely with Airedale Springs to produce all the wire-form components for their first product the Applause Machine. The Applause Machine, designed by Martin Smith, is a beautiful and original way to say "Well done", "Congratulations" or quite simply "Thank You". This product has gone onto sell worldwide and has received many plaudits for it's outstanding craftsmanship and wry sense of humour."

We have also been involved in the development of a unique timepiece by the same designer, incorporating our springs, which will be displayed in the centre of Leeds, an update will be included in a future newsletter when the working model is ready.
