Daimler Dart SP250 Hood Clip Parts.
Our Custom Spring Making Department recently came to the aid of a Classic Car Restorer who was struggling to find parts for his restoration Project.
The parts were required for a Daimler Dart SP250 (they're actually restoring 2 cars) and formed part of the Hood Clip Assembly. Whilst fully assembled Hood Clips can be Purchased the Individual parts are no longer available.
The parts concerned are a Chromium Plated spring wire form and a small Torsion spring. These form the main active part of clip mechanism and without them the clip assembly simply won't work.
We were able to produce a small batch of each of the parts so that broken wire forms or Springs can now be replaced without having to purchase fully assembled Hood Clip.
As a consequence these parts are now available to restorers via e-bay for other restorer to purchase.
